Congratulations to all Ainslie Park premiership players in 2018-19. Contesting four senior grand finals we brought home four flags!

Well done to the premiership captains:

Doc and Max (2nds)

Lethal and Bully (4ths)

Gaz (5ths)

COD (Vets)

The 2nds had a remarkable season, only sneaking into the top four in the very last round of the season, then knocking off the top side to go straight into the grand final. Chasing 188 against Kilsyth Crooty and Dillon started with a century stand then after a few quick wickets Will and Jimmy put on a solid partnership to see AP home five wickets down.

The 4ths were in first or second place most of the year and made their way through the semi final thanks to 8-for from Jordan. While Jordan was again dominant on the scoreboard against Warranwood in the big game, the heroes of the day were James Isles and Jonty Just with nerves of steel to see AP home in the chase in a last wicket partnership of 16.

The 5ths dominated H Grade with a mix of youth and experience. Cruising through the semi final they took on Heathmont Baptists in the grand final. Despite three wickets (and another caught and bowled) from Jimmy Johnstone the chase was challenging. But not too much for club legend Gaz, who swore this was his last game - and celebrated with an amazing 57 not out including hitting a boundary to seal the win.

The Vets finished on top of the ladder losing only one game and brushed aside their opponents in the semi to take on Warranwood in the big game. After AP set a strong target of 206 with runs from Franga and Troy, Warranwood got close but not close enough, falling 16 runs short.

And finally honourable mentions to our junior finalists, the Under 16s and the Under 12 girls, for making it as far as the semis this year.
