Ainslie Park Cricket Club was founded in 1976 following the amalgamation of the Croydon West Cricket Club and East Ringwood United Churches Cricket Club (formerly East Ringwood Methodist). Croydon West CC played on a site in Ware Crescent, Ringwood East, where the Maroondah Hospital now stands.​​​​
